Through the Lens of Compassion: Wonder 2017

"I didn’t destroy a Death Star or anything like that, but I did just get through the fifth grade. And that’s not easy, even if you’re not me."

Well, that's Auggie – August Pullman. He loves science and has a great sense of humor, enough for anyone to like and love him, butt

So While scrolling through Instagram, I came across a quote:
"Am I ugly, Dad?
No, son, the world is ugly."
Which I was familiar with because have seen many times and loved.

"Wonder," released in 2017. But this time I knew have to watch this as soon as possible.
Interestingly, it started as a book, which I had seen the on Instagram too a while back; I just didn't remember it when I was watching the movie.
This was the starting scene of the movie, so creatively beautiful, right? You know there's another movie that has a kinda similar start, yeah? So automatically, this reminded me of the movie named "Taare Zameen Par." The only difference was that this movie talks about outer features affecting a child's life. In this movie The conflict was him vs. society, but in that movie, the conflict was inner, with his own family failing to understand. Ishan Avasthi loves arts but not words and maths so accurately.

Back to the topic, There are plenty of characters in the movie, like Nate The father,  Isabelle(mother) surprising huhh I remember, Mister Tushman- the principal ohh he's all a student need, and some other bullies and Summer beautiful black girl and Charlotte she's gud too and Daisy the dog.
Happy days.
Until now, His mother has decided that it's time for him to attend a regular school no Homeschooling anymore, despite initial objections from his father, Nate. Auggie's love for science is evident through his astronaut helmet...as he needs a better science teacher he agreed.
As expected from this world, people stare and avoid him as if he's a plague, even resorting to calling him names like "zombie faces."
And that's how struggle starts.
and we get to see the same events from four points of view, if I remember correctly. Auggie himself, via his sister, and Jack Will, a friend of Auggie, who likes him but is too afraid to accept him publicly due to embarrassment about his looks. This leads to him saying something stupid and ruining their friendship, but later, they patch things up as Jack realizes, you know. And Miranda, auggie's sister's friend provides a perspective too , unusual character to give such importance but I liked that.
The story is about overcoming fears, and making friends, some good friends that everyone deserves.
Cause "It's not enough to be friendly. You have to be a friend." As movie says .
It's hard, I know..may be I don't cause the hardships one can face due to just how one looks, no one can imagine. But as the movie's purpose was to spread kindness—well, it did.

End Scene :

“Then again, maybe that’s kind of the point. Maybe the truth is, I’m really not so ordinary. Maybe if we knew what other people were thinking we’d know that no one’s ordinary, and we all deserve a standing ovation at least once in our lives. My friends do. My teachers do. My sister does for always being there for me. My dad does for always making us laugh. And my mom does the most, for never giving up, on anything. Especially, me. It’s like that last precept Mr. Browne gave us. Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle. And if you really want to see what people are, all you have to do is look.”

And leave any similar possible recommendations for me.
